Suffolk Start Up Bookkeeping Basics

This workshop is one of the elective options on the Suffolk Start Up Programme for clients located in either East, West, Mid Suffolk or Babergh council areas only.

Hosted by MENTA’s experienced trainers via Zoom, this live session will cover the essential skills you need to develop and key points to consider when keeping the financial records for your business.  The Bookkeeping Basics skills training will be split into the following sessions:

1. Record keeping - requirements of HMRC
2. Using an excel spreadsheet / Accounting Software
3. Taxation & Self-Assessment

Your trainer will be happy to field your questions “on air” or in the live chat room and there will be breaks during the session for you to boil the kettle!

Please note that for the best experience we recommend a laptop or tablet.

1)     Be over 16 years of age

2)     Be based in East, West, Mid Suffolk or Babergh council areas

3)     Not started your business/become self-employment or started your business/become self-employed within the last 12 months before the date of enrolment.
